I wish I could travel outside of Korea during my winter break, but that's cool. I will be in Tokyo in May, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam in the summer. #travelnomad #notstopping #whereintheworldisLori
I was told I can bring my own lunch to school, and then the staff at school are pressuring me to go out for lunch each day and eat things I can't eat.Today, I'm exercising my right to say no. Thanks Frantzie Bazile Hayley Gillam for reminding me that I can still say no in a foreign country.
Day 5 of Winter Holiday Camp. The last day!!! Woohoo! We had a "snow day" for one period. Basically, I let them play in the snow for an hour...Then we did a Christmas stocking relay race with candy, and now we're having a movie/pizza party. It's a great day. <3
I had a quiet evening in last night. I cooked some lentils, watched some bad movies...My plans for the first day of the year involve me doing about an hour worth of yoga and finally seeing The Hobbit. Happy New Year's!
Day 4 of Holiday Winter Camp.We learned more about Valentine's Day in America. First, we made candygrams with lollipops and then we made heart-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Finally, we finished the day with a New Year's eve countdown. Happy New Year's Eve on this side of the world everyone!
It's Christmas Eve! No classes today, but we'll be cleaning the classroom and preparing for winter camp on Friday! Insane. The children in Korea are always in school I tell ya! I'm excited though, because the camp is all about winter holidays: Christmas, New Years and Valentine's day.
